Company Job Title: Convenience Retail Manager
Reports to: Commercial Manager
Location: Puerto Rico & USVI
Function: The Convenience Retail Manager is responsible to oversee all C- Stores around the island. Support the delivery of the Company Energy Retail Customer Value Proposition.
Scope: The Convenience Retail Manager ensure C- Stores are implemented and in line with business strategy, and ensure financial results are accomplished.
Key responsibilities (List major areas of position responsibilities, in priority order)
- In conjunction with the Retail Team, the position is responsible for having:
Forecourts that deliver a consistent customer experience
Good conditions and working equipment.
Great customer Service experience.
-Ensure achievement of sales objective and margins by category, product, SKU’s in c- stores.
- Decide product to purchase/ implement in stores per segment and concept.
-Coordinate franchise requirement and provisioning service level.
-Negotiate costs, rebates, and fees using economy of scale with suppliers.
-Define store concepts per C- Store based on segmentation.
-Established price and promotions policy.
-Lead implementations in C- Stores of mix prices shelves/ spaces.
-Interpret planograms and analyse market needs, trends and other business strategies.
-Lead, negotiate and oversee the implementation of new stores, products and families.
-Ensure adequate negotiations with retailers are made and documented in contract in line with company policies and procedures.
-Analyse sales by family and product by segment and concept.
Administration & Financial Management
-Monitor business line financials and ensure EBITDA are accomplished.
-Develop budget in line with Company process and timelines
-Provide solutions and recommendations to improve business goals and objectives.
-Analyse, report, and develop action plans. -Asses and determine CAPEX; each site requires to achieve an optimal return and to manage OPEX/CAPEX budget to achieve desired outcomes.
-Elevate and follow-up CAPEX issues with relevant teams (eg : construction team during construction phase and finance during operations phase)
-Develop business cases for unplanned or high cost initiatives.
-Build strong relationship with retail partner, and handle all customer complaints to rectify issues in a timely manner.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (finance or marketing), industrial engineering or related fields.
Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum 4 years of experience in consumer retail, category management and or analytical positions.
Minimum 2 years of previous supervisory experience.
Previous knowledge in down the trade market.
100% availability to travel within the island is required.
Previous knowledge managing and understanding P&L.
Previous knowledge in ERP and or CRM.
Advanced in Microsoft Office (Excel and power point) is a must.
Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish).
